Ear, nose and throat ENT
Ears, nose, sinuses, throat, larynx and neck: hearing loss, tinnitus, inner-ear dizziness, hoarseness, snoring.
Who is usually sent here
Hoarseness beyond three weeks, difficulty swallowing, a neck lump, hearing loss, spinning dizziness, recurrent nosebleeds.
What this specialty does NOT cover
Sudden hearing loss in ONE ear is a case where being seen within days makes a real difference — do not let it drift on the assumption that it is wax.
What a first visit usually involves
Examination of ears, nose and throat, often with nasendoscopy in the clinic room, and a hearing test if needed.
Bring with you
Previous hearing tests, a description of your work environment, and a recording of your voice at its worst.
