Hospital transfer: what it means

Different from an outpatient referral — a transfer happens mid-admission and needs transport, staff to accompany, and a handover of records.
Ask: who receives me at the other end, how do the records and images travel, and who pays for transport.
Keep a copy for yourself before the originals travel with the transfer.
