Calcium in blood, usually with albumin because much of it is bound to albumin.
Why it is ordered
Ordered with fatigue, persistent constipation, kidney stones, osteoporosis, or when following parathyroid function.
How to prepare
May require fasting. Mention any calcium or vitamin D supplements.
